About me >> CV

Hongkong, China

My name is Max-Leonhard von Schaper and this is my personal blog space. Specifically interested in economics, politics & society I want to use this blog as a collection, but also as an opportunity to present myself.

Born in the German city of engineering excellency Sindelfingen – hometown of Mercedes-Benz – and grown up to Swabian’s attention to detail in an IBM&HP developed environment, I started to attain to planning and organizing skills early in my life with famed LEGO toys and later SimCity and Sid Meier’s Civilization computer games. These basic skills helped me to graduate from high school and execute a special purpose project during my last two years before graduation: planning and establishing an incorporated in-school retail shop, that is still flourishing today.

With first contacts to China in the late 1990s and a school exchange programme to Taipeh in 1999, I acquired Mandarin during my internships with Siemens in Xi’an and Beijing in 2003 & 2004.
